New Apprentices: Building for the Future
Nine new apprentices are looking forward to building a bright future in the construction industry, after joining award-winning housing developer William Davis Homes.
The company’s latest recruits include bricklayers, joiners, electricians, plumbers and a scaffolder. It follows a lengthy recruitment process which involved a record number of applicants being interviewed.
Two of the apprentices are females – adding to the growing number of female trainees who are part of William Davis Homes’ sought-after apprenticeship programme.
For more than 50 years, the company’s apprenticeship scheme has helped hundreds of entrants to launch their careers in housebuilding, creating precious opportunities for young people.
Gary Long, Apprentice Manager at William Davis Homes, said he was delighted to welcome the new recruits: “Apprenticeships are vital to our business, ensuring we continue to develop new talent and have the right skills mix available to us to continue to build quality homes.”
“We wish all our new apprentices all the very best as they start their careers with us. We look forward to seeing them grow and flourish as they develop their skills.”
The William Davis Homes apprenticeship scheme has gained widespread recognition for delivering exceptional apprentices and has won a number of awards. The company was recently named Apprentice Employer of the Year at the Leicester Apprenticeship Hub Awards 2023.
